Artemus (Ame) grew up on the outskirts of the Skatay Range in a small village.He was close to his mother who enjoyed story-telling and sparked his curiosity for adventure.When Ame was just a kit at barely 13 summers, his parents were brutally murdered at the hands of bandits who were led by a powerful Elezen working for the Garlean Empire.At the cost of his left eye, the Elezen spared Ame's life so he could raise and train him to be an assassin that would do his dirty work.

They call him the one-eyed hound, his senses are sharp, they say he can track down his target from hundreds of yalms away even with one-eye. The hound part? Heard it's cos some noble's got him on a leash like a dog.As a skilled Bounty Hunter, Ame rarely lets a target out of his sights. Albeit a professional, he has a distaste for rules and order and is oftentimes quite selfish but surprisingly merciful, allowing his targets to live if given the choice.He was raised in Garlemald to believe that people fall into two categories - the hunter or the prey , and that he should always be the former if he wishes to survive.After many moons, he finally enacts his revenge, killing the Elezen and Elezen and granting Ame his freedom.

Onyx, much like many Hrothgars, was a tradesman, who was particularly fond of botany and had dreams of becoming an apothecary.Onyx shares Ame's thirst for adventure and eventually left his own home to become his companion and eventually his lover.While Ame is aloof and stoic, Onyx is gentle, naive, and empathetic.The two would return to Bozja to assist the Resistance with their restoration efforts."Please, take me with you.
